The episode starts with Gaitok frantically looking for the gun. He pulls up the video surveillance and sees that Timothy took it. Gaitok is sick to his stomach and tries to get the gun back. He follows Timothy into the bathroom and says he’s lost something and thinks Timothy has it. Timothy plays the fool and leaves, telling Gaitok he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Gaitok misses Mook’s performance without recovering the gun.
Back at the dinner table, Piper shares the news that she wants to move to Thailand after she graduates and enrolls in the meditation program. There was never a thesis, which shocks even Timothy, who’s been disconnected from everything since the call with Chuck. Victoria is in disbelief that her daughter wants to be so far from their comfort and Christianity in North Carolina. “You want to live in Taiwan?” she asks. Her rage is high enough for her to forget where they are, and that Buddhism and being Chinese are not directly connected.
Booze flows freely on the boat while Saxon gives Lochlan a pep talk, encouraging him to go for the ladies. Chloe tells Chelsea she has her eyes on baby Lochlan and simply wants some attention. Gary used to want action three times a day—now, nothing. Chelsea says she could never cheat on Rick, and she can’t shake the feeling that something really bad is going to happen while Rick is in Thailand. “He’s like my child,” Chelsea says. Even though he’s 50, we know it’s true.
Jaclyn, Kate, Laurie, Valentin, and his friends are getting wild with the drinks and dancing at the club. Valentin invites Laurie to dance, while Jaclyn grinds between two men, keeping her eyes locked on a group of young girls who seem jealous. Jaclyn is in pure bliss.

Fabio Lovino/ HBOBack at the hotel, Fabian tells Belinda that a guest has been asking about her. She fears it’s Gary—maybe Greg—and tries to explain the situation, advising Fabian to call the police. Fabian doesn’t understand the threat and tells Belinda she shouldn’t gossip about guests. Belinda shares her concern with Pornchai, who promises to keep her safe. While in her room, Belinda hears that strange noise again, and Pornchai discovers a lizard behind the furniture. He offers to leave, but Belinda begs him to stay. She lays out all the sleeping arrangements, and he chooses to share her bed—and also kisses her!
Still, at the Ratliff dinner table, Victoria has all kinds of concerns about the meditation center. What if it’s a cult? What if they impregnate Piper? What if they brainwash her? Victoria demands that Timothy go check out the meditation center and the monk Piper plans to study with.
Lochlan, Saxon, Chelsea, and Chloe arrive at the Full Moon Party. Chloe tells Lochlan what it’s about: all the vampires come out, and everyone gets laid. Saxon tries his luck with Chelsea, who is not the least bit interested. The drinking is heavy, but Saxon advises Lochlan to slow down and let the girls get messy. Chloe pulls out some pills, which Saxon refuses—he only takes Adderall to work. Lochlan ignores everything his brother says and swallows a pill. “One day, I’m gonna take you down,” Lochlan tells Saxon. Saxon gives in and takes one too after Chelsea and Chloe follow Lochlan’s lead.
Rick arrives in Bangkok, ignores all of Chelsea’s calls, and meets up with Frank (Sam Rockwell), who is carrying a suspicious black duffel bag—straight out of a bad-guy movie. Rick learns that after years of partying hard, Frank is now 10 months sober and has turned to Buddhism in Thailand. In an extensive scene, Frank recounts in vivid detail his addiction to a specific kink: having sex with submissive Asian women. One day, he brought over a “ladyboy” and decided he wanted to be the one being penetrated. That changed the whole sex game for him. He began wearing lingerie and women’s perfume and let himself be penetrated by men—sometimes multiple at once—because he wanted to feel like a submissive Asian woman. He would even hire an Asian woman just to sit and watch him being penetrated. When he asked himself, “Inside, could I be an Asian girl?”—that’s when he turned to Buddhism. Rick just listens, looking utterly confused. There is a gun inside the bag Frank handed to him.

Fabio Lovino/HBOBack at the club, Valentin calls Laurie a sexy dancer while the group chats at a table. Laurie downs a shot Kate didn’t want and impresses everyone. The good vibes are cut short when a girl storms over to yell and fight with Aleksei—probably his girlfriend. Kate says it’s time to go, and the girls agree, but not before inviting the boys back to the villa. At their private pool, Kate watches her friends and the guys skinny dip while she sits at the edge in PJs. As the buzz starts to wear off, Laurie keeps complaining about her divorce while Vlad shares his tough life story with Kate—she’s had enough. She politely kicks them out. Laurie whispers something into Valentin’s ear, and when he leaves, Jaclyn says she should’ve hooked up with him. Not wanting to waste a body’s potential, Jaclyn invites Valentin to her bed instead. He sneaks back to Jaclyn’s room and strips off his clothes at lightning speed.
At the Moon Festival, the brothers and the girls start to feel the effects of the pills. Everything is vivid and neon-bright. Lochlan even gives Saxon a few cuddles on his back. On the boat, Chelsea says she’s tired of being the only one dealing with Rick’s pain—she’s had her own traumas too. Chloe suggests the two of them hook up with the brothers, but Chelsea declines. She’s a romantic, and she belongs to Rick. Chloe jokes that Gary might kill her if he finds out, but tonight, that’s a risk she’s willing to take. The four of them start playing a drinking game. When Rick finally calls Chelsea back, she doesn’t notice the phone ringing. During the game, Chloe and Lochlan kiss. Then Saxon asks the girls to kiss, which they do—then fires the request back at Saxon and Lochlan. Lochlan kisses Saxon with enthusiasm and a smile. Saxon is a bit out of it but aware of what just happened. Chelsea looks on, judging silently, while Chloe claps.

Fabio Lovino/HBOAnother Ratliff is having a much heavier night. Timothy is writing a suicide note in the middle of the night. He’s interrupted by Victoria, who notices he’s been acting strangely. Timothy opens up about all the pressure and expectations laid on him since day one. Victoria tells him he has nothing to worry about—he’s already accomplished so much. He falls to his knees and prays. Yes, Timothy prays.
