Rick is face to face with Jim Hollinger, the man who killed his dad. He and Frank—going by Steve in his director persona—sit with Sritala and Jim to discuss the non-existent project. Frank can’t name a single movie Sritala has starred in and makes things worse when he says her role in the movie will be that of a prostitute—unaware that Rick told her the role would be based on her personal life. Frank is so nervous he orders a drink, even though he’s been sober for the past few months.
Rick invites Jim for a “business” talk. Jim says Thailand has been good for him, and Rick asks if he’s been good to Thailand. Rick moves the gun to his waistband as he starts asking more serious questions.

Belinda is nervous about attending, but Zyon tells her they need to go to find out what Gary wants from her. At the party, Chelsea continues telling Saxon that Rick is her other half. She says she’s attracted to his sadness and wants to heal him.
Jaclyn, Kate, and Laurie are still out of sync, ordering a full bottle of rosé to try clearing the air. Laurie is still upset about the events of the previous night, but Jaclyn can’t take it anymore. She tells Laurie she’s a victim of her own life and tries to blame it on others. She brings up Laurie’s work and husband to justify that she always chooses the worst option. Kate tries to defend both, but with the back and forth, Laurie gets offended and decides to go watch the fight herself.
Mook and Gaitok are finally on their date. They’re enjoying dinner, but Gaitok has an update to deliver. He’s not getting promoted to bodyguard—and he doesn’t think he has the killer instinct required. He tells Mook he could never hurt someone, citing Buddha’s teachings. Mook isn’t happy with his answer and noble heart. She thought he had more ambition. She tries to change his mind, saying violence for self-defense is okay.
Back at Gary’s party, Victoria interrogates one of the young women married to the older men. “Are you scared of him?” she asks. “Is it because he has a lot of money?” Victoria tells the girl she can help her in North Carolina—but the girl finds it weird. She just loves her boyfriend.
Gary invites Belinda for a private chat, while Saxon does the same with Timothy. Saxon tells him that work is all he has, so if something’s off at work, he needs to know. Saxon’s whole career is tied to his father. “I put my whole life into this basket—your basket.” He can’t handle being nothing. Timothy, dulled by several lorazepam and a few drinks, assures Saxon that nothing is wrong.

Fabio Lovino/HBOGary tells Belinda he knows that she knows. He offers $100,000 for her silence, to preserve his peaceful and happy life in Thailand. He appeals to Belinda’s emotions, saying Tanya felt guilty for not helping her open her business. Belinda says she needs time to think. Zyon tells her to accept it, but she worries she’ll be an accomplice to Tanya’s murder.
At Jim’s office, Rick reveals the real reason for his visit. “Gloria Hatchett?” he asks, wondering if the name rings a bell. He tells Jim that his dad was killed due to Jim’s land deals. Jim looks confused—or maybe it’s a flicker of recognition. Before anything more can be analyzed, Rick pulls out his gun and points it at Jim’s head. But he can’t go through with it. He tries to punch Jim, but Jim raises his arms in self-defense. Rick pushes him off his chair, knocking him to the floor. He leaves in a hurry, dragging Frank with him all the way back to their boat. Once they’re back in town, Rick gets rid of the gun, and Frank wants to party to celebrate. They end up back at the hotel room. Frank is doing lines of coke with semi-nude women, while Rick sits on the couch, letting the events sink in.
Mook and Gaitok’s date continues at a Muay Thai fight. Mook tries to use the fight as an example for Gaitok. She tells him that fighting is human. Meanwhile, Gaitok spots Laurie with Valentin, followed by his friends Vlad and Aleksei. That’s when he realizes they’re the ones from the robbery. Valentin was distracting him so his friends could get past security.
At the monastery, Lochlan shares with Piper that he also wants to join the temple with his big sister. He’s not looking forward to going home. Piper isn’t thrilled—this whole Buddhist/meditation thing was supposed to be her thing.

Fabio Lovino/HBOChloe joins Saxon and Chelsea at the party and shares a disturbing side of Gary. When he was a kid, his parents would have sex loudly, and he would watch. Seeing his parents like that caused a mix of disgust and pleasure that evolved into a kink. His worst nightmare became his greatest fantasy. He wants to walk in on someone having sex with Chloe—just like he used to walk in on his parents. Living it would feel like winning his mother back from his father. Chloe asks Saxon if he’s up for the challenge. He declines. He’s barely processed the incest with his brother and decides to leave with Chelsea and go back to the hotel.

Fabio Lovino/HBOOn the way back, Saxon wants to show Chelsea she’s wrong about him—that he can be in balance with his spiritual side. Chelsea teaches him how to meditate, even though he’s a bit skeptical. When their hands touch, Chelsea pulls away and starts throwing meditation books at him.
Laurie ends up hooking up with Aleksei at his place. She’s ready to cuddle, but he has other plans. He tells her about his sick, elderly mother, whom he can’t visit because he’s overstayed his visa. He asks for $10,000. She’s rich, isn’t she? She says she doesn’t have the money, and he insists—offering Venmo, PayPal, and other payment methods. Laurie is saved from the bribe when a woman—probably his girlfriend—starts furiously banging on the door. Laurie hides in his closet and spots the jewelry stolen from the hotel. She begins to escape through a window, but Aleksei’s girlfriend hits her on the head, causing her to fall. Once she feels safe, she takes a taxi back to the hotel.
Timothy can’t shake his wife’s words. After what she said, he can only think of one solution. He goes to get the gun—only to discover it’s no longer there.
