It’s a new day, and Rick needs to return to the hotel after his moment of closure. Frank is still partying with the ladies, smoking and drinking. He begs Rick to stay, but Rick simply gets in the elevator as more girls arrive to join the party.
After their first date, Mook is turned off by Gaitok’s lack of violent instincts.
Kate and Jaclyn realize they haven’t seen Laurie since dinner the night before. Jaclyn finds her in her room, still asleep. Laurie skips breakfast but wakes up to Jaclyn’s apology about Valentin—she wants to remain friends.
As Piper and Lochlan walk back to the hotel, Piper tells him she doesn’t want to be responsible for ruining his life if he joins the meditation center. At breakfast, Timothy and Victoria learn that Piper is no longer thrilled by the idea. The food wasn’t organic, the mattress had stains, and there was no air conditioning. She hates to admit it, but she couldn’t live like that for a whole year. She hates being so spoiled when there’s so much suffering in the world—but she can’t do it. Victoria beams with pride—now her daughter is acting like a true Ratliff. She tells Piper they should enjoy their privilege since so many can only dream of it. Timothy feels hopeless. How will his family manage the poverty that’s coming?

Fabio Lovino/HBOLochlan and Saxon are dealing with their issues. Lochlan asks for a shake, but Saxon says he already has his. He offers to join Saxon at the beach but is brushed off again. Lochlan explains that he acts like a people pleaser in a family full of narcissists. Saxon tells him to drop the subject—forever.
Mook, still unimpressed after their first date, lights up a bit when Gaitok tells her he has new information about the robbery. Maybe he’ll get a promotion. Later, he runs into Valentin and tells him he’s seen his friends before. Valentin knows Gaitok is aware of their involvement. He pleads with him not to say anything, or they’ll all be deported. Gaitok is conflicted and tells Mook he might quit. She is unimpressed and declines his dinner invitation. Fabian also tells Gaitok that Sritala and her husband are returning the next morning.
At the beach, Chelsea is impressed that Saxon read the book she gave him. Before they can exchange more words, she sees Rick arriving and runs into his arms. They kiss and walk down the shore hand in hand. Saxon is left with another rejection.

Fabio Lovino/HBOTimothy asks his younger son if he could live without money. The boy says yes—truthfully or just to please his dad—but what matters is Timothy believes him. Later, Timothy remembers the poisonous fruit near their rooms. When Pam returns their phones, she confirms that the seeds of the pong pong fruit are so toxic locals call it the “suicide tree.” Timothy asks Pam to keep their phones on the boat until they reach the airport. Once she leaves, he picks some fruit and puts the seeds into a blender.
Belinda finally agrees with Zion to see how much money they can get from Gary. At his house, Zion uses his MBA knowledge to demand $5 million—just 1% of Tanya’s fortune. Belinda storms out, but it’s all part of their plan. “He wants us to be scared, but we gotta make him scared, okay?” she tells Zion, who returns to close the deal. Back in their room, Zion says he gave Gary her bank information. Now they just wait.
Laurie rejoins her friends at dinner and tells them about her night with Aleksei. They quickly reconnect. Jaclyn and Kate share how great their week has been—like cloud nine. Laurie opens up. She confesses she’s felt sad since they arrived. Being with her friends makes her mistakes feel more transparent. She tried to find meaning in her life, work, and motherhood—but realized only time gives life meaning. She genuinely feels joy having Jaclyn and Kate as best friends. Specifically, she says she’s glad Jaclyn has a beautiful family and Kate has a beautiful face. Laurie is grateful to be at that table. The three exchange heartfelt “I love yous.” This was a monologue worthy of an Emmy.
Chelsea beams at the man she loves. He’s finally free. She explains the meaning of Amor Fati: you must embrace your fate—good or bad. They are linked, and whatever happens to him, happens to her. Rick agrees, and when she says they’ll be together forever, tears well in her eyes—love pouring out of her.

Fabio Lovino/HBOAt the Ratliff’s table, Timothy asks a server to send ingredients for a piña colada to their room to celebrate the trip. Back in the room, he prepares the drinks with the pong pong fruit. Everyone except Lochlan gets one. Imagine spoiling your family so much that poisoning them feels easier than telling them the truth. Timothy nearly goes through with it—but after his first sip, he snaps out of it. He slaps the glass from Saxon’s hand, claiming the coconut milk is spoiled.
When Belinda wakes up, she’s $5 million richer. Gary calls to confirm she’ll hold up her end of the deal. She is ready to leave Thailand with Zion and feel rich—if only for five minutes. She finds Pornchai to inform him of her early departure. He’s visibly sad, not just because he cares for her, but for the business. Just like Tanya did to her, she tells Pornchai that other things now need her attention.
The next morning, Rick is confronted by Jim. He says he remembers Rick’s mother—calls her a whore—and shows Rick a gun, in case he tries anything again. Chelsea begs Rick not to do anything stupid. He walks away, and Jim sends his men after him.
Lochlan, in a peak moment of low hygiene, uses the dirty blender to make a protein shake. He stays by the pool while the others take a break. He starts puking and fading. He sees his family, the ocean, and the silhouette of four monks looking down at him. Timothy wakes up, sees the blender, and finds Lochlan unconscious by the pool. He starts yelling for help.
Chaos breaks loose. Sritala and Jim take photos with Jaclyn. Rick is anxious and seeks a stress management session with Amrita, who is busy for the next hour. Chelsea finds him and begs him again to stop. He tells her to get the fuck out. Rick walks up to Jim, grabs his gun, and shoots him multiple times. Sritala holds her husband, tears in her eyes, yelling “Why?” Rick replies emotionlessly, “He killed my father.”
“No,” she cries. “He is your father. He told me!”
Dumbfounded, Rick runs as Sritala’s bodyguards chase him. He shoots wildly. Chelsea is hit. Realizing what he’s done, Rick cries over her body. Bad things really do come in threes. He picks her up, carrying her to a destination only he knows. Gaitok arrives, and Sritala orders him to shoot. Hesitant at first, Gaitok pulls the trigger, hitting Rick in the back. Rick and Chelsea fall into the water, their lives ending tragically—souls hopefully forever side by side.

Fabio Lovino/HBOLochlan is not dead! Timothy finds him conscious by the pool. “I think I just saw God,” Lochlan whispers. On the boat to the airport, Timothy announces that everything will change—they’ll go forward as a family. Phones in hand, they’ll soon learn what that means.

Fabio Lovino/HBOEveryone else gets closure too. Gaitok’s killer instincts earn him the promotion Mook dreamed of. She looks pleased as he drives Sritala. Jaclyn and her friends laugh together. Valentin and his crew remain untouched. Chloe and Gary continue their search for a third partner. Belinda sails away with her fortune and her son, leaving behind a heartbroken Pornchai. Chelsea and Rick’s bodies are sent back on the plane. Even Frank finds closure, returning to Buddhism after some wild days.
The season finale showed that, although people search for better versions of themselves, their true nature always emerges. Some characters failed to become who they hoped to be. Others stayed true to themselves. And a few seized the moment—creating a more hopeful life.
